What is the distinction between administrator and session manager?
MIDSA is designed so that all the information about respondents and staff can be kept secure on one computer (presumably in an office) and other computers can be used to give assessments. The person who manages the central system is the administrator and the people who give assessments are the session managers.
The administrator and session manager functions can also be incorporated in a single MIDSA on a single computer, if so desired.
Can I use the administrator computer to give assessments?
Yes, the administrator and the session manager can use the same machine, however the functions and logins are kept separate. For instance, in a small institution the administrator and session manager may be the same person.
Who assigns session managers to respondents?
Session managers are not assigned to respondents per se. The administrator authorizes session managers and respondents so any session manager can give the assessment to any respondent.
